Facial and jaw pain can affect eating, speaking, sleeping and everyday comfort. Symptoms may arise from the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), facial and jaw muscles, nerves, the neck, or a combination of factors.
We assess and treat a range of facial pain and jaw conditions, with an individualised approach aimed at reducing pain, improving movement and restoring normal function.
Treatment begins with an assessment of your jaw and facial symptoms, TMJ function, facial and jaw muscles, neck mobility and other factors that may be contributing to your pain.
Depending on your presentation, treatment may include hands-on physiotherapy, TMJ mobilisation, soft tissue techniques, exercises, movement retraining and education to help reduce pain and improve function.
Where appropriate, we work alongside your dentist, doctor or other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to your care.
Our goal is to help you reduce pain, restore comfortable movement and better understand the factors contributing to your symptoms, while providing practical strategies to manage your condition and reduce recurring flare-ups.
